My Review: This story took me a few days to get in to but that may have been due to my very busy week! Once halfway through the tale I was desperate to reach the ending. It takes me time to get my head around new magical places and Eerie-on-Sea is definitely full of magic, wonder and mystery and I was certainly engrossed! This compelling tale of Violet Parma who so desperately wants to find out more about her missing parents, seeks the help of Lost-and-Founder Herbie Lemon. Their adventure to find Violet’s parents is entwined with the mystery of the Malamander. It is captivating and I felt such a mix of emotions towards all the characters! The strange, creepy ‘Boathook Man’ and suspicious ‘Sebastian Eels’ are just two of many superb characters in this compelling tale. A magical must read!
