Welcome! 👋🏼

I always say that I find it so hard to start a new book. I have to be in the right mindset! Especially after reading such an amazing, entrancing book, when you have really connected with the characters, when their story is all you can think about and you have whole-heartedly joined their adventure. The fear of then reading a book that isn’t as good just frightens me! I never want to be disappointed. The feeling of reading a ‘meh’ book after such a wonderful book is the worst. Or is it just me?

To Blog or Not To Blog? 🤔

I’ve always toyed with the idea of some sort of book review format, I wanted to do a pretty Book Review book for school but never seemed to have found the time. (I am also not creative in the slightest and worry that it will look naff!) I absolutely love books and love reading but I never seem to be able to talk to anyone about it immediately. Apart from my poor husband who has to listen to and hear about all these magical tales with their twists and turns and my love of the characters! I’d be trawling Twitter for other people who have read the same story and it feels so great to connect with other people who can share my love for reading and stories.

Twitter Community ❤️

I always look to Twitter as my go to – what to read next? I’ve just read this so what shall I read next? I always get great recommendations and my list is forever growing!
So I thought I would type my thoughts about all the children’s books I have read so far and I hope some of you find it useful! I usually choose my books with my What To Read Next Jar (inspired by @primaryteachew) and it never fails me!
My list is based on recommendations from colleagues on my Twitter Network and I am slowly working my way through them! But here are some ‘Recommended Reads📚’ posts just to get started…Enjoy! 😊

‘Sometimes, you read a book and it fills you with this weird evangelical zeal, and you become convinced that the shattered world will never be put back together unless and until all living humans read the book.’

The Fault in Our Stars

Hopefully one day I will get round to creating my Recommended Reads📚 Book for the children at school too!
